Hot Cocoa VS. Frozen Cocoa - Kortni Jeane
While we love nothing more than cuddling up by the fire to a warm hot cocoa and The Grinch, we also appreciate a frosty chocolate drink that can be enjoyed by the beach in a Kortni Jeane swimmer. No matter what type of climate you are spending your holiday season in this year, we have the perfect drink recipe for you! Check out the video below to see how we make a rich homemade hot cocoa to sip on the ski slopes as well as a refreshing frozen cocoa to make on your warm holiday vacay!
HOMEMADE HOT COCOA
Ingredients:
     Cocoa:
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 3/4 bag Hershey's kisses
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. cocoa powder
  • Chocolate syrup

     Topping:

  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings

**Makes 2 servings

Directions:

  • Add 2 cups of 2% milk to sauce pan and boil on medium-low. 
  • Add 3/4 package of Hershey's kisses to milk and stir until melted.
  • Add 1 tsp. of cocoa powder.
  • Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and stir mixture together. 
  • Pour into mugs + finish off with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
FROZEN COCOA
Ingredients:
     Cocoa:
  • 3 cups crushed ice
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 2.5 heaped tbsp. of hot chocolate mix
  • 4 tbsp. chocolate syrup

     Topping:

  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Chocolate shavings

**Makes 2 servings

Directions:

  • Pour 2 cups of 2% milk into blender.
  • Add 2 cups of ice.
  • Add 4 tbsp. of chocolate syrup to mixture. 
  • Finish with 2.5 heaped tbsp. of hot chocolate mix + blend for 1 minute or until mixture is thoroughly combined. 
  • Pour into mugs + finish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and chocolate syrup.
