10 Questions To Help You Find the Perfect Swimmer - Kortni Jeane

Finding the right swimmer for you

We know finding a swimmer can be difficult, especially when shopping online, so we’re creating a one-stop shop to answer all of your questions and help you find the swimmer that’s right for you. With 13 unique top styles, 12 unique bottoms styles, and 3 different one-pieces just for women alone, there’s truly something for everyone! Although we wouldn't say no to trying ALL of the styles {because sometimes we just can’t resist! 🤗} we're answering ten FAQ’s that will help you know just exactly what you need:
Do your swimsuits fit true to size?
We recommend our customers order the size they usually wear as we are finding all styles to fit true to size. You can also take your measurements and refer to our sizing chart as a guideline. We are also happy to help if you need further assistance at hello@kortnijeane.com, so just shoot us an email!
How do I measure myself?
Women will need to measure their bust, waist, and hips to find the best top and bottom sizes for them.To measure your bust, measure around the fullest part of your chest. For your waist, stand up straight, bend to one side, and find the crease. That crease is where your natural waist is: measure there. Lastly, measure your hips by standing with your feet together and measuring the fullest part of your hips. You will then follow the measurements on our size chart to find what will best suit you. Watch this video for a tutorial on how to get the most accurate measurements:
If my swimmer doesn’t fit right, can I exchange it?
Due to the limited quantities of our swimmers we do not offer exchanges. However, eligible orders have 14 days from the date you received the item(s) to have your unworn merchandise postmarked and in the mail for returns. If you miss the 14 day mark, you can still send your items back for store credit. Returns after 30 days are not eligible for any return. If you want to exchange items for a different size or style, we suggest sending them back to us within 14 days for a refund and purchasing your new items on our website before they go out of stock. For more detailed instructions, read about our returns + exchange policies here.
What tops are best for a bigger bust?
Our top five picks for ladies with bigger busts are our Netted Sweetheart top, Tied-Up top, Swing top, Oversized Ruffle top, and V-Neck top. Each of these offers the style you love with the comfort and coverage you like. Details about each top can be found in this blog post.
What size of maternity bottoms should I purchase?
We suggest you purchase your regular size as these maternity bottoms are built to stretch with you as you grow. If you typically wear a size medium pair of bottoms, the medium maternity bottoms should be the right fit for you. All other regular styles of our high-waisted bottoms can often be worn throughout the first trimester of your pregnancy. Once you really pop in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters however, you’ll want those maternity bottoms for comfort. Additionally, if you want tips on what tops pair best with a bump and more info about maternity and postpartum bottoms, check out our maternity feature post.
10 Questions to help you choose the right swimmer
What bottoms are best for postpartum?
Our Ruched bottoms are our #1 choice for postpartum moms. We’ve found that these are highly recommended especially for moms who have had a c-section. Our other two favorite postpartum bottoms are the Peplum + Tie-Up-Front bottoms.
Do your tops have shelf bras + bra padding?
All of our tops include either a half or full shelf bra depending on the style of top, except for the Oversized Ruffle top. Each product listing will have details on what kind of shelf bra is included, so you can read that in the details before purchasing the top with the best fit. The only unique top with this is the Oversized Ruffle top, which includes a layer of fabric underneath for support and coverage with a larger ruffle sewn on top in the front. No shelf bra or bra padding is needed and most don’t prefer it as this top has plenty of elasticity and allows for a comfortable fit without an additional shelf bra.
What’s the difference between High-Waisted and Extended High-Waisted bottoms?
Our regular High-Waisted bottoms fall at your natural waist while the Extended High-Waisted bottoms come up 2 inches higher, offering more coverage well over your belly button. Both measurements around the hips are the same, so only the top differs. Our regular High-Waisted bottoms are a classic for everyone, while the Extended High-Waisted bottoms are a favorite for ladies with longer torsos, those who want more stomach coverage, and others who are looking to mix it up with a retro look.
10 Questions To Help You Find the Right Swimmer
How often do you come out with new styles?
We try to keep our swimmers as unique as possible, so we do not restock them. Once a suit is sold out it is gone for good! If you see something you like, snag it before it’s too late. We typically release a new collection every 8-10 weeks. With these new collections we bring fun new patterns + colors and often revise, discontinue, or introduce new styles. The only color we restock with each line is our classic black, because we know that’s always a popular one (everyone needs a little black swimmer!) Mixing n' matching becomes better and better with every new collection!
Do I look good in a swimsuit?
YES GIRL! 🙌🏻 Yes you do. Whatever your style, make it YOU! You deserve to wear a swimsuit that makes you feel confident. We've got you!
